Pictures From Camera to E-Mail

Copy pictures from camera to computer. Most camera makers give you a software package to transfer pictures to your camera. However if you choose a manual process then these two methods may be available to you.
. The first is to connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable that came with your camera.
. The second method is to remove the memory chip from your camera and plug it direct to your computer . Choose method one or two then; . Select MY COMPUTER and click on the icon that relates to your camera. The pictures on the camera will be displayed. .
. Select all pictures or just the ones you want to copy then in the left menu choose"Copy the selected items".
. A dialogue box will open. Select MY DOCUMENTS then MY PICTURES then the
path to copy the pictures to. Click OK. The pictures will be copied to the computer.

Pictures which are not reduced in size take a lot of time and space : to transfer. Resizing the pictures will fix this. This is the manual method as opposed to using photo software.
. Open the MY PICTURES and Right click on the photo. A dialogue box will open . Select" Resize Pictures" and another dialogue box open.
. Select the size of picture you want 640X800, 80Ox600, etc
. Left click on OK. A copy of the same picture will be placed in the MY PICTURES
folder but will be renamed with (small) or (medium) or (large) in the photo name.

To the best of my knowledge all E-Mail programs or Mail : Web sites have an "ATIACH FILE" function associated with their write, create or compose E-Mail function.
. Left click on the attach function and a dialogue box will appear for you to select the item you want to attach. .
. In the title drop down select MY DOCUMENTS then MY PICTURES then left click
on the photo you want to attach. . The dialogue box will close and the screen will return. to the E-Mail program. . Repeat the process to add more items. Then click send

Adding the Image Resizer program to your XP computer. Both the installation file and ins1ructions tQ install are available on the CD that I have produced. However if you wish to download the file yourself it can be easily found at www.microsoft.com , then search for" Image Resizer " on their site. You will be directed to the appropriate page to download and install.

This is not my work, but I felt it would be worthwhile to put on the chug chat. bob trombley
