We had an inspection on the waste plant and have received the written Compliance Evaluation from the D.E.P. The facility was found to be operating efficiently and with all areas in compliance.
The pool lighting installation is done. Statewide Electric will come out this evening to make the adjustments needed in the trajectory of the lamps on the post. They will also re-set the automatic timer for the lights to go off at 9:00 p.m. as per the legislation passed on the ballot. The pool gates will remain locked in the evening until we get the final inspection from the County.
The final portion of the sidewalk at the post office should be completed by tomorrow.
The parts for the 1st phase of the dock are about 8 weeks from arrival.
Tucker Paving will be back around the end of the week or Monday of next week at the latest to complete paving around 5 manhole covers and make some adjustments to some of the burms, as well as taking care of a couple of driveways that got missed.
I also have a couple of reminders. The Board of Directors has set up a summer meeting schedule beginning on Wednesday, May 9th…that is this week, at 9:00 a.m. in the clubhouse. The agenda was posted last Friday. The Board members not on site will be participating via teleconference.
Tomorrow is the last day to turn in bids on 102 Silversides. The bids will be read at the meeting on Wednesday.
It has been reported that there was another break in at an un-occupied unit. If you find you have an issue such as this please call the Polk County Sheriff's Department and report it.
We have also had a couple of incidents recently involving Saddlebag residents trespassing on the posted private property on Saddlebag Lake Rd. where the new double-wide was put in next to the orange groves. The owners of that property understand that there is some curiosity about the home, however, the most recent incident involved a car driving around the back of the unit and getting stuck in the sand directly on top of their new septic system. The car had to be towed off the property and the owners now have to have the system re-inspected to ensure there is no damage. At this point the owners are asking that Saddlebag residents please be respectful of their property and avoid any future incidents. They have enjoyed the neighborly relationship they have maintained with the Resort over the years and would like to continue along that same vein.
That's all I have for now. Any questions? Mel
