John has parts on order for the fountain in the lagoon. The filters need to be cleaned and he will be replacing some gaskets.
Statewide Electric is scheduled for today to begin the high service pump project.
No word from the County on the pool light inspection as of yet.
They do also have parts on order for the sign at SR 60.
R.I.G. (James Curtis) will be in Tuesday to get the Notice of Commencement signed and notarized for the demolition of the old annex.
Anderson Maintenance is scheduled for Monday, May 21 to begin the work on the maintenance offices.
The sidewalk at the post office is done aside from some minor repair work needed to the concrete around one of the drain grates. It was chipped when saw cutting for the grate cutout.
Gary Clark of 17 Stone Fly has donated 4 palm trees to the Garden Club and, at the club's request, the Board approved they be planted in front of the chain link fence which surrounds the storage lot. D & D Tree moved the trees for free and maintenance planted them along with installing some of the leftover PVC fencing behind them as well as irrigation. It created quite a nice diversion from the storage lot as you travel the road to the recycle bins and maintenance. The Garden Club also planted hibiscus between the palms to enhance the beauty of the area. Thanks to Mr. Clark for his donation, D & D Tree for moving the trees from his lot, maintenance for all their hard work in replanting and the installations, and the Garden Club for the hibiscus and for making it all happen!
We had a water leak at 95 Royal Coachman. The leak caused a depression caving in a small area of the pavement. Tucker came out and fixed the leak area. The paving crew will address the pavement when they come in this week to finish the other items scheduled.
The Board had their first teleconferenced Board meeting last Wednesday. If you did not attend, the meeting went very well with only a couple of minor glitches which have already been worked out. A big “thank you" to Bob Staib, Dee Braund, Bob Trombley, and Bob Lapsley for installing the system and insuring it was fully operational.
I have just a couple of housekeeping items pertaining to hurricane preparedness. C.E.R.T. protocol and the updated street volunteer lists have been posted throughout the resort and on the website. We will also have pre-application forms available at the office for those requiring special needs shelters should the need arise. I also urge everyone who has not already done so, to trim your trees, bag up all lawn debris, tie down or store loose items which may become projectiles in a storm. Thanks so much to Ken Hall and the C.E.R.T. team for their diligence in preparing the residents for the upcoming storm season. Now everyone go out and pray for rain!
Thanks so much and have a great week! Melanie Kremkau (CAM) for SLOA
