Managers' Report:Hello and good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend!
Friday we were supposed to reopen the rec room rest rooms. However upon inspecting the paint to make sure it had dried I found 2 areas that had cracked peeled during drying. Foot's Painting is going to come out Monday to sand and re-paint the 2 sections of the rec room rest rooms that did not cure properly. This means the restrooms are going to be closed through a portion of this week. We are sorry about the inconvenience but we didn't want to accept work that wasn't up to standards.
The First CPR class for SLR employees was Thursday. The instructor Roy, did a great job keeping the class interesting while being informative. Along with basic first aid and CPR techniques the class taught operation of the AEDs. I was shocked (no pun intended) to learn that while CPR gives someone a 30% chance to survive cardiac arrest, in cases where an AED is involved that rate skyrockets to a 90% survival rate!
Along with the AEDs we have ordered some more first aid kits to mount along with each AED. In emergency situations it is best to have everything you need in one spot fast and easy to get to.
Remember there is no substitute to calling 911 in an emergency. That should always be the first thing you do.
Along with my Report today I will post some simple AED instructions to the website for anyone who wishes to familiarize themselves with AED operation.
Thank you and have a Great week!
