Managers' Report:Koffee klatch update 05-27-2013
Good morning (the notes say that!),
Central Electric and VacVision completed the manhole repairs Friday. That will prevent water and sand from entering the sewer system through those manholes and possibly causing damage to the components. Maintenance is continuing to monitor other areas of the system for potential issues.
The annex is coming along...they're doing the interior door framing, bathroom cabinets and other fixtures, and exterior stucco. Also, maintenance installed the irrigation and chlorine pipe to the pool/spa. The site work and parking lot is progressing as scheduled.
Phase II of the dock has been permitted and is on schedule for installation the 2nd week in June. G.A.S. Fire Protection will be installing the dry pipe at the dock entrance as required by the Fire Marshall.
D & D Kwik Kerb will be resealing the kwik kerb on common property this week. The Garden Club will be donating the cost to reseal it at a total of $1030. Thanks so much to the Garden Club for their continued hard work on the grounds and generosity to the Association!
The auditors have completed their information gathering and will compile the audit analysis which will likely be ready and delivered to SLOA in hard copy format in July, and will then be available for your records. You will be notified upon arrival.
Hurst Pest Control did the first grounds application Friday for red ants and other pests. Let us know if you see any areas they might have missed, though they were very thorough.
The June Board meeting has been rescheduled from June 12 to June 5 at the clubhouse at 9:00 a.m. The Board will be discussing the Covenant issue, the Attorney's recommendation concerning the MRTA Statute, and possible decisions moving forward. We hope to see you all there.
Just a reminder for on site residents, as you know from the phonevite sent out last week, the squirrels are angry and have been attacking residents unprovoked. Please be aware and avoid contact with them if possible. That includes feeding them if that is your habit.
We appreciate your cooperation as 3 owners have reported being bitten by aggressive squirrels in the last week.
Also, the SLOA office is closed today in observance of Memorial Day in memory of our fallen soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
