Raymond Kautz passed away May 26th. Cards may be sent to his wife Charlotte at the local address in the directory.
Woodrow Shirkey, George Shirkey's brother and former resident, passed away this past week. Cards may be sent to George at the northern address in the directory.
Dick Poole also passed away this past week. Cards may be sent to the family at either address in the directory.
Mary Paulin will be have gall bladder surgery on June 11th. She was hospitalized two weeks ago with gastric upset. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Joyce Muller passed out at a flea market and was admitted to Lake Wales Hospital Saturday. She got sick on Monday while still in the hospital. Joyce was throwing up and had diarrhea. She hopes to be able to come home on Monday. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Gordon Underly was admitted to Lake Wales Hospital this past week for observation and tests. He is home now and doing OK. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Al Luchenbill is still recuperating from pneumonia. However, his doctor gave the OK for them to travel up north for a reunion. Al and Donna will return to Saddlebag June 30th.
Mary Deboer has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. She will be seen at Sloan Kettering for a biopsy this Thursday. Also, Pete is now on oxygen 24 hours a day. Cards may be sent to them at the northern address in the directory.
Dick Shimp will start radiation treatments on June 10th. Cards may be sent to him at the local address in the directory.
Jim Brown is home from the VA Hospital in Tampa. He is finished with chemo and will start radiation once he gains more weight. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Jo Dowler asks for prayers. She has been going to Cleveland Clinic and they haven't been able to determine how to treat her. Cards may be sent to her at the northern address in the directory.
We received a lovely Thank You note from Sammie Siegfried for prayers, cards, visits and food during and after her hospital stay.
I also wish to thank the many Saddlebaggers for the cards I received following a brief stay in the hospital.

Fathers' Day: Tickets can be obtained by Calling Sally Knapton at 696-3464. Last Day to get tickets is June 9th 2008. Cost is still $6.00. This dinner is done by the Summer Committee and Hosted by Bob and Lynn Mayhew.
Church Fruit Fest: June 11 at 6PM. Hosted by Bob & Lois Lapsley. Everyone is welcome. Bring your own table service.

Ed Weirauch brought us up to date with the street coordinators, how to get ready for Hurricane Season, and what materials we need in the event of a hurricane. Forms are available at the office for special needs people. You need to fill these out as soon as possible, before a Hurricane strikes. There was also some brochures available and information for anyone who wanted to take a copy.
Jerry Slane gave a presentation on the digital television converter boxes, how to get the $40.00 vouchers from the Federal Government, and who should be getting these boxes. I will have more about this in the future.
