Managers' Report: Good morning everyone,
The maintenance offices are very close to being completed. The contractor is still waiting for 1 door and still has a bit of trim work to do. The floors are also in the process of being painted.
Maintenance has been busily priming and painting sheds, concrete islands, safety posts, sign posts, pressure cleaning, etc. along with mowing, edging, weed eating, and trimming. The guys did a marvelous job while John was on vacation.
We have a temporary working with the crew as of Monday of last week. His name is Richard.
SLOA had the annual fire inspection last week. All went well.
The asbestos removal in the old annex begins today.
The dock is scheduled to begin June 11.
The pool lights passed inspection. You can now swim at night!
I have a couple of housekeeping items to address. I got a call from Republic Services concerning the recycle bins and the items being deposited in them. It appears people have been dumping a variety of trash items, including old drywall and other construction materials, along with household trash in the bins. Those bins are strictly for recyclable items. Your trash of any kind is to be picked up at your stump. They remove it on Tuesdays and Fridays. I was informed by Republic that if they find any more trash in the bins they would have to pull the bins from the property as SLOA is in breach of contract with the company. Please understand and let those know who do not attend Koffee Klatch, the bins are not dumpsters. They are for recycle items only. Also, the curbside service for lawn waste on Wednesdays is being abused as well. Your contractors trimming trees and doing major landscaping on your lots are liable for their waste. Please be sure they act accordingly.
