Managers' Report: Good Morning, I hope you have all had a great Weekend.
The rains are here, hooray! Thanks to the rain we received last the county has lifted the burn ban that was in place for Polk County. Even though the ban is over one thing I hope stays fresh in everyone's mind is the importance of fire safety. While we can again enjoy our fire pits and camp fires, let's remember to never leave a fire unattended and always fully extinguish a fire before going to bed.
Another side effect of the rains is a lot of grass growth. Lawns have shot up this past week and we have been making rounds and calling lawn contractors for those owners who are out of town. Please help out and make sure your lawn gets a fresh trim after the rains we received.
And even though we received a lot of rain last week, the water table hasn't been replenished yet. We are still under watering restrictions. Those watering restrictions are available on the home page of the resort website. Please follow the link in the pop up for specific information. These are scheduled to remain in effect until August first.
After Cue Time replaced the felt surface on two of the pool tables in the recreation room, several pool players had mentioned a crease in the table. I contacted Chuck from Cue Time and he made the trip out to fix the felt. The wax that helps hold the felt down had not seated all the way and he was able to make the minor repair on the spot. So sorry pool players, no excuses if you miss your shot now.
Thank you and have a Great week!
