First of all I want to apologize to the many folks who sent emails informing me of illnesses. We were without internet service for three weeks and therefore we couldn't retrieve any emails until this past weekend.
Jean Schevers, former Saddlebag resident, will have breast cancer surgery tomorrow, June 7th . Cards may be sent to her at 321 Notch Lane, Unit 2, Branson West, MO 65737.
Bob Jolly had back surgery for a badly ruptured disc (lumbar laminectomy) after a month of pain in his back, hip and down the left leg. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Harry Ward developed an infection in his chest following five way bypass. Two of the wires in his chest were broken so the doctors had to reopen his chest to clean out the infection. Although he is improving from that but due to poor circulation in his right leg, Harry developed a problem with his right toe and heel. Being a diabetic, this is a serious concern. Doctors are trying to find out the cause of the poor circulation. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
John Goodwin has gone home from the hospital where he was being treated for a severe case of pneumonia. Because of his chronic lymphatic leukemia doctors are having a difficult time clearing up the infection with the antibiotics being administered. John had to have four units of blood and is also on gamma globulin to boost his immunity. John and Pat are going to Syracuse today to see his former cancer doctor and hoping for better care.
The Ward family and Goodwin family ask for prayers for their loved ones.
Edith Duesing is at the Dove Nursing Hone. She will be transferred back to Savannah Court. Edith is eagerly awaiting to go back to Savannah.
Please remember our Saddlebag friends with prayers, cards and phone calls.
