Bruce Lunn, formerly of 7 Beaverkill, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2007. Cards may be sent to his wife Jan at 29 Farmington Drive, St. Thomas,Ontario, Canada N5R 5X2.
Joan Holloway has a malignant mass in her right kidney. It is encapsulated, so has not spread. Joan will have the kidney removed on July 23,2007 at Lakeland Regional Hospital.
Paul Garrison is at the Grove Nursing Home where he will receive more physical therapy. Cards maybe sent to the local address in the directory.
Carol Moore is home from the Dove Nursing Home and is doing very well. She is eating well and has gained back a few of the 14 pounds she lost. A nurse comes in to help her and also a physical therapist comes to the home. Cards may be sent to her here at the resort at 5027 Saddlebag Lake Rd.
Lois Detenbeck is in Lake Wales Hospital, room 305. Although she has congestive heart failure,Lois was admitted Friday with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Lois hopes to come home sometime this week. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Sam Sturms has had his first chemo treatment and all went well. Sam feels good and has no pain. He has five more treatment to go. Bobbie and Sam wish to thank all the Saddlebaggers who sent cards. More cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Myrtle Flynn of Woodruff Way is now at the Grove Nursing Home. She is up and around, and no breathing treatment was needed on Sunday. She's ready to come home, but must wait for the doctor to release her. Cards may still be sent to the local address in the directory.
Velma Hoyle is also at the Grove receiving physical therapy following knee surgery. She hopes to come home today, or early in the week. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Hazel Miller fell at her home last Tuesday and is in Lake Wales Hospital, room 325. She was wearing a heart monitor on Sunday. The doctor also told her she has gall stones, and a small growth on her lung. Hazel will undergo tests and will be seen by a specialist. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Win Moravec is also in Lake Wales Hospital, room 304. He should be transferred back to the Dove Nursing Home today. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Jeanne O'Flynn has been diagnosed with cancer in her throat. It is a very fast moving cancer. Jeanne will have a tracheotomy on Wednesday, probably at Bartow Regional Hospital. Further action will be determined at that time. Tom has a kidney infection which needs attention too. They have moved out of the motor home and into their home on Red Quill. Cards may be sent to them at the local address in the directory.
Darrell Bierlein had a set back and was admitted to the hospital Saturday with a bladder infection. His temperature rose to 103 and he was dehydrated. They mega dosed him with fluids and he also received two pints of blood. He was feeling much better on Sunday. Darrell will have a full torso CAT scan on Thursday to determine if the chemo treatments are helping him. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Bob Lapsley will have hernia surgery tomorrow in Winter Haven. It is same day surgery and he will be home late tomorrow.

The water level this morning is 100 feet which is 3 inches, more than last week. We did get some badly needed rain last week. Everyone keep in mind that our water level should be about 102 feet above sea level, so it is imperative we keep getting some rain. Some people are having trouble getting into the lake from the lagoon because of the low water level. We have gone from one extreme to the other.

The Summer Michigan Reunion is being hosted by Ed &Helen Clark. It will be in Frankenmuth, MI on August 1st through the 4th.
