Managers' Report:Good Morning, I hope you have all had a great Weekend.
Even though we've had a good solid six weeks of rain we are still under the phase 3 water restrictions in Polk county. It is scheduled to remain in effect until August 1st when it will be reviewed again. Owners have been asking about this so I have changed the popup on the website to reflect this, and I'll be reviewing any changes at Koffee Klatch until it is lifted.
Along with the phase 3 water restrictions we are only allowed to water the common grounds in the resort on Friday. We cannot run all the zones at the same time since it puts too much of a strain on the water plant, so the zones are staggered. This caused a problem a few weeks ago as the clubhouse irrigation came on at the same time as the potluck. John Plat jr has since readjusted the timers for the clubhouse to go on late at night so it shouldn't interfere with any activities.
The water meter readings have been keyed in and reviewed and I'm pleased to report it looks like the vast majority of owners have done very well following the water restrictions. The staff has gone behind the high readings and tested each meter and identified and spoken with owners who are overusing and even found an owner that was out of town but her toilet was running the whole time. If you have questions on ways to reduce your water usage don't hesitate to ask!
I had initially scheduled the floor strip and wax for the clubhouse to be done at the end of this month. After speaking with maintenance, they usually do it at the end of September so it is freshly shined for the start of the busy season. I have since rescheduled Coast to Coast for the last week of September.
Thank you and have a Great week!
