Managers' Report:Good Morning, I hope you have all had a great Weekend.
The hydro tank rehab was moved up to today 07/17/17. The company had an opening and I asked Ray if he'd prefer to move it up or wait until the first week of August as initially scheduled. Ray asked for the earlier date so we set it up for this Monday. It should have no effect on anyone's water service. There will be a pressure relief valve attached to the fire hydrant at the queen of waters greenway. This is necessary because there is no way to regulate pressure otherwise while the tank is being bypassed. As pressure builds it will vent water and extra pressure off into the greenway. We could keep the system sealed as normal but without the hydro tank it would cause what is called water knock, which can damage old and weak pipes causing leaks and other damage. The rehab itself should take 7 days from start to finish. The first 3 days will be draining the tank, sandblasting, then resurfacing. The next 4 days will allow the coating to cure, then refill it with water and have samples sent off for testing. As soon as the tests come back good the water system will return to normal use and the pressure relief valve removed from queen of waters.
The roofs have been finished. All the old vents that were not hooked up to anything where removed to prevent future leaks and modern ridge venting installed on the roofs. Ray requested we do the beach house also as it suffered from the same old style square vents that caused leaks at bathhouse2. We had the beach house roof updated too while S heppard Roofingwas here rather than wait until they started leaking and the proper ventilation added.
Thank you and have a Great week!
