July 23, 2012Coffee and donuts: Bruce Balch and Barbara Marksbury
Master of Ceremonies: Bob Lapsley
Sound: Bob Trombley
Illness:Darrell Slagle is home from the hospital following tests to determine the cause of so many falls that have plagued him. The diagnosis was high-low blood pressure. Darrell is on medication to correct the problem. A home health nurse comes in each day. Darrell cannot start physical therapy until his shoulder is healed. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Mary Windisch fell resulting a badly bruised face and nose. She is OK and thankful that she did not injure her hands that would prevent her piano playing. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Les Calkins was admitted to Lake Wales Medical Center yesterday. He and Phyllis were shopping and Les picked a container of kitty litter and popped a hernia. He will have surgery today. Cards may be sent to Les at the local address in the directory.
Other News:There is a change in the house number for Helen and Ed Clark's son Bruce who has a recurrence of cancer in his kidney. It is 102 Glen Eagle, Davenport, FL 33896. (He moved a few houses from the previous address of 123).
Mary Windisch received emails suggesting that anyone wishing to do so could make a donation to the Memorial Gardens in memory of Russ Sauer.
Lorraine Kobierecki told me that anyone who is on blood thinners and has a head injury is to go to Lakeland Regional Hospital for treatment, not Lake Wales medical Center.
Please remember our Saddlebag friends with prayers, cards and phone calls.
