Robert Fisher, formerly of 9Beaverkill, passed away July 15th. Cards may be sent to the family at 1235 Birch Creek Drive, Orlando, FL32828.
Jack Nolan his home now and feeling well following an aortic valve replacement. Cards may be sent to Jack at the northern address in the directory.
Mickey Sauer is in Lake Wales Hospital. She had some internal bleeding and tests will be run to determine the source. It maybe a bleeding ulcer. Cards may be sent to her at the local address in the directory.
Doris Wierenga is still in Lake Wales Hospital where she was admitted with cardiac arrest. She didn't remember being taken by ambulance to Lake Wales Hospital. Jim said she was in ER for about three hours and didn't regain consciousness until she was situated in ICU.
Hazel Miller is home from the Grove Nursing Home. A physical therapist comes in three times a week and a nurse comes in twice a week. Cards may be sent to her at the local address in the directory.
Al Luchenbill has two leaky valves in his heart that will,in time, require surgery. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Mid Wodrich is doing much better. She is at her daughter's home in Ft.Lauderdale, Mid will see her doctor this Thursday to get the results of the CAT scan. Cards may be sent to in care of Debbie Kropat, 829 BW 6thAve., Dania, FL 33004. The phone number there is (954) 922-9843.

The water level this morning is 100 feet 4 1/4 inches which is 1/2 inch, more than last week. We did get some badly needed rain last week. Everyone keep in mind that our water level should be about 102' above sea level, so it is imperative we keep getting some rain.
August 8th at 6PM. A salad smorgasbord will beheld. This event is hosted by Art & Barbara Marksbury. Please bring your own dishes and invite your neighbors. This is a SLR Church function. A free will offering will be taken.
Campbell labels are still being collected by Lorraine Kobierecki. She is at 5 Beaverkill.
The Summer Committee and Bob and Lynn Mayhew are hosting a dinner on August 5 at 5PM. Ham with Pineapple with a Hawaiian theme.
The Summer Michigan Reunion is being hosted by Ed &Helen Clark. It will be in Frankenmuth, MI on August 1stthrough the 4th. Those wishing to camp out, there is a campground on the Lutheran Church grounds. The Lutheran Church campground is at the end of Shlier Street. From Main Street (M83) West on Shlier to the end. Shlier has Mike Young GM Dealership on the South Corner & a Farm Equipment Dealer on the North Corner. Lester & Dorothy Bock recently vacationed in Northern Wisconsin at the Weaver Resort on Pelican Lake as guests of their children. Bill & Sandy Radtke had Lester & Dorothy, 2 of their sons & wives, children,grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their cottage on Pelican Lake for a day of good eats, good conversation and a trip around the lake on their pontoon boat. Les & Dorothy were presented with a Happy Holidays sheet cake depicting their family holidays. Lester again showed everyone up in the fishing department. He battled with and caught an 18 inch - 4 lb. bass. He also had 15 inch and 17 inch walleyes to add to his week's tally.
Any group, club, committee in SLR with a Sun Trust checking account can get the new $5.00 per month fee waived if the responsible member in charge of the account goes to Sun Trust and talks to Stacy. She will OK and confirm; there will be no charge for SLR group accounts.
Stop signs have been installed at the 2 intersections of Silversides and the Trail. Be aware that they are there and act accordingly.
Doris DeJong, 696-1701 is requesting donations from anyone interested. Mary Kay Cosmetics will send sunscreen products to our troops in Iraq. Donations are tax deductible.
