Peggy Brown's sister, Anita Twichell, passed away July 25th. Anita and her husband Dick lived at 30 Beaverkill for many years. Cards may be sent to Peggy at the northern address in the directory.
Bill Conway is back in Lake Wales Hospital with congestive heart failure. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Berta Stebbins is doing better now. She had a blood clot in her leg which delayed the physical therapy. She can now continue with the therapy needed for the knee replacement. Berta will be there for at least another week. Cards may be sent to her at Life Care Center, 1510 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33884 or to the local address in the directory.
David Dartt is home from Lake Wales Hospital following surgery for a ruptured intestine. He was going to recuperate at his dad Charlie's home on Hwy. 60, but Charlie has left to go up north. There will be no golf cart business until further notice. Cards may be sent to David at the local address in the directory.
Sandy Stinespring is home from the hospital recuperating from pneumonia as well as a urinary tract infection. She is on antibiotics for another five days. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Fran Deady is also home from the hospital recuperating from pneumonia as well as a bladder infection. She is on antibiotics too. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Jim Reasor had a doctor's appointment on July 11th. On July 12th he had heart catheterization and stents put in on July 14th. Jim and Marion will be back from Ohio in September. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Pat and Chuck Redman want to thank all Saddlebaggers for the many cards and phone cards received following Chuck's heart attack. He is doing fine and starting cardiac rehab. Chuck also had cataracts removed from one eye and the other one will be done this coming week. They plan on coming to Saddlebag the middle of October. Chuck and Pat will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii in November.
Bob and Mary Johnston are doing well. Bob tires easily since his stroke, but generally feels well.
Janet Buxton is having knee replacement today. She will be a hospital in Indianapolis until Friday, then will go home. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Jeanne Bealer thanks all for the many cards, visits and lovely flowers during and following her hospitalization.

Nathalie Maggard, Resort Manager:
1.The office wants to have a phone# on file in case of emergency. They have a form that anyone can fill out. Everyone is encouraged to do so.
2.Propane station will be open tomorrow at 9AM. Not sure of the cost yet.
3.We have the SBA loan. The loan will be $1 Million, to be paid off in 30yrs at 4% interest. We will only use what we need and only after using the money appropriated by the state.
4.We have (3) wild dogs in the resort, believed to be pit bulls, and very aggressive. If you see them, do not approach. The county animal control office has been called.
5.Mosquito control: Polk county has to be called.
6.When getting work done, make sure your contractor has a license to do the work. It saves a lot of grief in the long run.
Ed Weirauch stated that on August 3rd at 9:30AM, there will be a general mtg in the clubhouse, to bring everyone up to date, with what is happening with our Emergency Preparation.

The summer MI Gathering continues to be planned for the second week/week-end in August. E-mail with Itinerary and questionnaire will be sent out, hopefully, this weekend (June 24th). Our plans currently include activities, tours of local area attractions, golf, games, food & fun. Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing many of you in August. The library is now open on Monday & Thursdays from 10-12 PM.
Barbara Marksbury has the key to Grannies attic. Anyone wishing to donate should call her.
Lester and Dorothy Bock just returned from a vacation to the Weaver Resort at Pelican Lake in Northern Wisconsin. While there their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren joined them for a relaxing week of fishing and visiting. Bill and Sandy Redtke had the entire Bock clan at their Pelican Lake cottage for a day of eats, camaraderie and a pontoon boat ride.
Some of you have used the recycle bins at Nalcrest. We received a letter from the Nalcrest Foundation stating that on August 1st, the bins will be removed and will not be replaced. So if you want to recycle, you will have to do it someplace else.
The Summer Committee will be doing a dinner on Sunday, August 13th. Happy hour at 4PM, with Dinner at 5PM. Tickets can be obtained from Sally Knapton at 696-3464. Cost is $6.00.
