Travel: Don't miss out!!! February, 2011 Cruise
I have just been notified by CJ @ All Aboard Travel that Carnival will pull the unsold cabins from her on July 30, 2010. Apparently, Carnival reserves the right to pull any unsold cabins on popular cruises. This cruise is NOT sold out! You can still sign up! But if you wait…you will pay a higher price. So…anyone that has been waiting to sign up, please do so now. Don't miss out! I have had a lot of interest in this cruise that stops at Cozumel, Mexico, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, and Colon, Panama. So, come join us and enjoy delicious food (umm! Chocolate melting cake), great entertainment and great sightseeing! Not to mention fun with your SLR friends!

Internet Connection: Bob Staib apologized to everyone for getting behind last week. We had a meeting this morning and devized a new strategy to get back on schedule. Bob Trombley or Dee Braund will come to any home who have the old LWW antennas and will test the old hardware and replace it if you desire. They will write down the antenna MAC address and give it to Bob Staib so he can legalize the address on the appropriate tower. Then Bob Staib will come to you home to complete the setup. Bob would like to spend as little time as possible fixing preexisting computer problems. However sometime fixing these problems is necessary to get you back on the internet.
The following are the most common problems we have found on the installations we have done so far:
1. The 12 V power supply ruined the old LWW Nanostation 2 antenna. Solution replace it with a new Nanostation M2 antenna. Cost $90.00
2. The old antenna system was struck by lightning and destroyed the ethernet port in the computer. Solution: same as #1 plus a new ethernet card for your computer. Cost approximately $20.00
3. The computer has been working on dialup (AOL or Netzero, Juno, etc) and the dialup compression software is conflicting with new high speed internet. Bob Staib must correct this.
4. You have a router and cannot remember the access code. Solution. Try to find it before the installers arrive, or Bob Staib will have to completely reprogram the router.
We are continuing to install old LWW and some new users as rapidly as we can. We are not charging for service during August as we prepare to start commercial operation on September 1.
If you are not on the install list please call Ginnie Staib at 863-215-7988 to arrange to get on the list.
Address Directories: The new ones are now available. They are a pink color. To get a copy, see Greta Dain.
Managers Report: 1. The new fire sprinkler system in the clubhouse is installed and operating.
2, The contract for the pool has been awarded. The contractor is waiting on Polk County for a building permit which is required to do the work. With that permit he then can begin the work, and, it will take about 6 weeks.
