Please do not feed the wildlife. We now have a great population of squirrels, rabbits, raccoons and one resident bob-cat and her two kittens. Apparently, wildlife has learned Saddlebag is a GREAT place to live and bear young. The squirrels are “chewing" rubber on RV windshield wipers and other undercarriage items.
While patrolling the greenway, we discovered the fresh kill of a Sand Hill Crane last Friday. The discovery was made behind a home along Saddlebag Trail. Claw marks on the carcass indicate the probable cause was the bobcat. Feathers were scattered all about. Poor bird. She never had a chance.
