Managers' Report:Good Morning, I hope you have all had a great Weekend.
Maintenance has been working on repainting the beach house interior. Along with repainting we've removed some of the old fixtures such as the hanging cupboards in the kitchen and many of the old fixtures that remained from when it was a laundry room. We ordered new cubby holders and hooks for the restrooms repainted the benches and removed the old metal lockers. Ray wants to decorate it with a nautical theme so we got some decorative fishing nets and are collecting some knickknacks to decorate the walls.
This week we will be doing hydrant flushes on the water system. We do this to keep the chlorine residuals properly balanced and to keep water that doesn't flow much through the system, or water at dead ends in the water system from stagnating. During the flushes you may experience lowered water pressure briefly. You also may have a slight brown color to your water immediately after the flush. This is normal and will go away if you run your water for about 5 minutes.
Today we will experience a solar eclipse between 1 & 4 pm. There are obvious things we have all heard about the eclipse such as do not stare directly at without protective eyewear. However there some other things to keep in mind. People may be out and about watching the eclipse, be mindful of pedestrians while driving. Also people who are out to see the eclipse may be distracted, so be extra careful while driving through the resort. It will also be darker than normal, so if you have difficulty driving while it is dark keep in mind it will be darker during those hours.
Thank you, and have a great week!
