Deaths: Tom Doheny, a former Saddlebag resident, passed away peacefully July 31, 2011. Cards may be sent to his wife Helen at P.O. Box 1893, Wells, Maine 04090.
Illness: Anna Miller is now at Grace Nursing Home for rehab. Cards may be sent to her there or to the local address of Bob Staib Sr.
Clay Cogswell is still in Lake Wales Medical Center. He will be transferred to the Groves Nursing Home as soon as they have a bed for him. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Marion Seile is back home following a stay at Lake Wales Medical Center. Marion thanks all for the many cards she has received.
Shane Wingate is out of Lake Wales Medical Center following admission for dizziness and shortness of breath. Cards sent to the Saddlebag office will reach her.
Tom Clegg is in an Assisted Living facility in MI. He has lost the nerve endings in his legs and has no feeling in them. Tom will be going to New Hampshire to be near family in September. Cards may be sent to Tom at Vera Murbach's home. The address is 3741 Wildwater Beach, Manitou Beach, MI. 49253-3742.
Ron Casey was admitted to their local hospital last Tuesday as he had developed some leaks in his body and his hemoglobin was going down fast. The doctors did the small intestine procedure and found several more new leaks. They fixed them and Jo brought him home this past Friday. Cards may be sent to Ron at the northern address in the directory. Their daughter-in-law Frankie is still receiving therapy following open heart surgery to correct a birth defect.. She is able to drive now making things easier on Jo.

New Owners: Leslie and Phyllis Calkins, formerly of 14 Saddlebag Trail, have moved to 21 Blue Quill.
Our water level this morning is 101 feet 8.25 inches. Last Week our water level was 101 feet 8.50 inches.
Saddlebag Express: The deadline to get information to Sue Beagle for the October Saddlebag Express is September 12. Its amazing to me how fast the summer has gone and we are getting ready for the winter season.
Hi-Speed Internet: We are still waiting for the splicers to make the connections. The new pricing structure should be on the web very soon.
Polk County Public Shelters: There is an informational packet and signup sheets for the Polk County public shelters at the office. If you need or want to use one of these shelters in the event of a storm, you need to fill out one of the applications, NOW and not just before a storm.
Post Office: Summer hours, 9:30 -- 10:30 AM
Library: The library is closed until further notice.

Grannies Attic: Open Mondays, Ginny Lowell and Cheryl Thompson are the contact persons.
Emergencies: Call 911. Also, call 863-604-4321. This number gets you to our security personnel. This is a cell phone number. The number is also prominently displayed on the front cover of the directory.

Travel: Cruising January 15-25, 2012????
I have some information re' shore excursions…if you have already signed up for the cruise, email me if you are interested so I can send you the info. IF you haven't already signed up for the cruise….WHAT are you waiting for?? Come join your fellow Saddlebaggers on a great 10 day cruise on the beautiful Norwegian Dawn. Cabins are filling up fast…so don't wait. We would love to have you join us!
