Managers' Report: Hello and good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend!
Well I'm pleased to report the progress that has been made on testing, chemical balancing, and training for the pool & spa operations. The staff does a great job and works hard to keep the pool & spa in great shape, however during the class I asked some questions about some of the issues we have had pop up in the past, such as swimming suits fading quickly and corrosion of equipment. The instructor asked what our saturation index was and I did not have an answer for him, it is not a test required by the health department. This is the test that measures corrosive or scale buildup potential in the pool & spa. The pool can be comfortable to swim in and still be corrosive or scale forming. So last week along with all the other testing we started to include the saturation index. On the first test the pool tested at a -6, which is on the corrosive end. As of Thursday everyone on staff had been trained and performed a saturation index test and the initial -6 the pool was testing at on Monday has been brought to a perfect zero as of Friday. The staff has updated the logs to include the Saturation Index. Any chemical changes made to the pool or even weather conditions including rain are being logged, so if there is question if proper procedures are being followed it can easily be followed up.
The flow meters for the sewer system have been installed and are collecting data. The data is stored at the meter and retrieved once each meter is removed. Once this is done the data will be compiled by central electric and put into a report for review. Now what we need is good rainfall in the next 2 months.
Thank you and have a Great week!
