He is no pain and resting comfortably while awaiting his surgery. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Lenny Brodeur will have surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor on his bladder. He will have a precautionary dose of chemo and if the tumor turns out to be malignant Lenny will have six more treatments. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Dianne Gillies had hip replacement surgery on Monday 18th. The surgery went well. However, on Thursday Diane got light headed and dizzy. She passed out when they tried to take her for a walk. She didn't fall hard, just slid to the floor with a nurse holding her. She was placed on bed rest and the doctor ordered two units of blood for her. The first pint was OK but the second one caused a fever spike so it was stopped and IV fluids were started for a low hemoglobin count. She is still on these. The doctors said Diane can't go home until she can move around with a walked and manage stairs. She will have to use the walker and later on a cane for six weeks. Cards may be sent to Dianne at the Canadian address in the directory. Postage is $1.15.
Terry Lally fell at home and was taken by ambulance to Lake Wales Medical Center. There were no broken bone, but she is quite bruised. Terry is home now. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Opal Fox had a cancer spot removed from her nose very close to her eye. The doctor had to go in three times before he got it all. It's good to see Opal here -- she's doing great!
Donna Stein, Dot Lynch's daughter, sent an email to Bob Trombley which he shared with me. Dot is in a nursing home now. Cards may be sent to her in care of her daughter: Donna Stein, 336 Klemm Ave., Gloucester City, NJ 08030-1664.
