Cecil Eisenhauer, long time former Silversides resident, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 from complications of a massive stroke. Cards may be sent to his daughter, Linda Forbes, at the northern address in the directory.
Barbara and Dave Anderson, former Beaverkill residents, lost their son Bradley to cancer on June 16th,2007. He was 54 years old. Cards may be sent to them at 120 Front St.,Box 37, Marion, MA 02738.
Kenny Corem, former Saddlebag Trail resident died about two weeks ago. I don't have an address to send a card to the family.
Joan Holloway is home from the hospital following kidney removal on August 17th. She looks; and feels wonderful. Her doctor said she was the fastest healing person he had ever operated on for this typeof surgery.
Doris Wierenga is now at the Dove nursing home, room 213 and is doing a little better. Cards may be sent to her at the Dove, 730 Scenic Hwy; Lake Wales, FL 33853, or to the local address in the directory.
Elinor Roeschen has walking pneumonia and is on antibiotics. Cards may be sent to her at the local address in the directory.
Laura Callender fell and broke her arm. Cards may be sent to her atSavannah Court Assisted Living Facility, room 43. The address is 12 Grove Ave., Lake Wales, FL33853.
Hazel Miller has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She will see her doctor this week and start radiation treatment September 2nd.
Mid Wodrich is doing pretty well according to her daughter Debbie. She has a malignant spot on her lung about the size of a nickel. It can't be biopsied because her lungs are too bad. She has several small spots on her liver and her doctor feels they are also malignant. Mid had an MRI last week and will see her doctor this Wednesday for the results. Cards may be sent to in care of her daughter Debbie Kropat, 829 NW 6th Ave., Dania, FL 33004.
Al Luchenbill will undergo surgery on August 30th for a mitrial valve replacement. Please keep Al in your prayers.

The water level this morning is 100 feet 4 1/2 inches which is 1/2 inch, more than last week. We got some rain last week. Everyone keep in mind that our water level should be about 102' above sea level, so it is imperative we keep getting some rain.
Campbell Soup labels are still being collected by Lorraine Kobierecki. She is at 5 Beaverkill.
Stop signs have been installed at the 2 intersections of Silversides and the Trail.Be aware that they are there and act accordingly.
We have a new Website, which is still under construction. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to be included on the Website, please let me know. I will pass on the information. Also, for those of us who have a hard time reading small print, when you click on the Koffee Klatch (here) line it brings up the current report. The new Saddlebag Lake Resort Directory is now available from Dot Lynch. She is in the directory. These are an orange color. Cost is still $1.00.
The next issue of the Saddlebag Express is October. Sue Beagle needs any information to be inserted, to be in her hands by September17. She is in the directory. Any information can also be dropped off at 75Saddlebag Trail.
Labor Day -- September 3 -- 5PM. The Summer Committee is having a Bratwurst with Sauerkraut dinner. Cost is $1.00. We are doing this to show our appreciation of the people who attended our previous dinners. This event is Hosted by Dave and Pam Wiechart. See you there.
September 2 at 10AM. Church this morning will be led by Mickey Caban. She is a small person with a large voice. She will be doing a concert for our benefit. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Saturday, September 1 at 1 to 3PM, there will be a Birthday Party for Joyce Muller. She is celebrating her 80th Birthday. Everyone is invited.
SLR Womens' Club: An Old Fashioned Bridal Show will be held in February of 2008. Don't forget to bring your gown or your mothers or your daughters or a friends bridal outfit.You can wear it, someone else can wear it, or it can be hung on a hanger.That's an old Fashion Bridal Show in February 2008.
Betty Koelle thanked everyone for all the cards sent for their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Cynthia Garcia said the Library now has a number of new books with large print, new tapes, and some new DVDs.
