SADDLEBAG SUNSHINE REPORT
August 28, 2006
Sickness and/or Distress:
Joan Holloway is doing well at home. A visiting nurse comes in daily to change the bandage on her leg and treat the sores. Joan is still on heavy antibiotics. Visits are welcome, and cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Berta Stebbins is doing very well. She was in church yesterday and walked in quite easily with a cane.
Suzie Fuday had her knee replacement last Tuesday and is doing fine. She is walking a bit. Suzie wishes to thank the many Saddlebaggers who sent cards. She was amazed at receiving so many!
Jeannine Johnson has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Clem and Jo Dowler are both doing well. Jo no longer needs to have a nurse, as the complications from the colon surgery are gone.
Kay Coffman, of Red Quill, suffered a heart attack and two stents have been inserted in the heart. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Betty Adkins wishes to thank her Saddlebag Family for the many prayers, cards, phone calls and e-mails she has received since Dan’s passing. She was overwhelmed!
Bobby Elkins had cataracts removed from one eye this past Wednesday and is doing well. He hopes to have the other eye done as soon as possible.
Linda Kiel sprained her ankle Saturday.
Please remember our Saddlebag friends with prayers, cards and phone calls.

As most of you are aware, we have a storm, named Ernesto headed out way, and at the present time we are not totally sure of where it is going, so we need to be prepared for any and all possibilities. Ed also stated some things this morning that we need to do as individuals to get ready.
We now have a Computer HotSpot in the Annex building. For those of you with laptops and slow dial-up connections, this could be very helpful.
