Deaths: Merton Johnson, an original Saddlebag owner, passed away August 23, 2011. He was 96 years old. A card may be sent to the family at 155 Albion Rd., Windham, Maine 04062.
Illness: Anna Miller is still at Grace Nursing Home for rehab. Cards may be sent to her there or to the local address of Bob Staib Sr.
Clay Cogswell is now at the Groves Nursing Home, room 206A. Cards may be sent to him there or to the local address in the directory.
Rita Ashley had successful cataract surgery in both eyes. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory. They plan on returning to Saddlebag after September 17th.
Ken Hall had been in Lake Wales Medical Center with a blood clot in his lung and also in his leg. He is home recuperating and is on blood thinning medication. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Betty Mariano's mother was diagnosed with cancer in June. She is preparing for surgery to remove her right kidney as soon as the doctor gives her the date. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.

Announcements: Our water level this morning is 101 feet 9.50 inches. Last Week our water level was 101 feet 8.25 inches.
Saddlebag Express: The deadline to get information to Sue Beagle for the October Saddlebag Express is September 12. Its amazing to me how fast the summer has gone and we are getting ready for the winter season.
Hi-Speed Internet: We are still waiting for the splicers to make the connections. The new pricing structure is on the website under saddlebag internet.
Polk County Public Shelters: There is an informational packet and signup sheets for the Polk County public shelters at the office. If you need or want to use one of these shelters in the event of a storm, you need to fill out one of the applications, NOW and not just before a storm.
Post Office: Summer hours, 9:30 -- 10:30 AM
Library: The library is closed until further notice.

Grannies Attic: Open Mondays, Ginny Lowell and Cheryl Thompson are the contact persons.

Managers' Report: The last managers' is on the website under Board of Directors. There are some more pictures posted since the last posting. Dee Braund gave a progress report on the ongoing and completed projects in the Resort this morning.
