Managers' Report: Good morning all, Revised 9/5/11
Well, September is upon us. WaterTech has completed 120 laterals as of Friday. They had an interruption on Wed. to repair a sewer line at # 7 Night Owl. Their clean out was broken and the line had to be capped and re-routed. From the main to the clean out is SLOA's responsibility.
Aquatic Weed will be in Tues. to spray the perk ponds at the Waste Plant, the overflow area near the lagoon and the boat ramp area. The weeds are really taking over.
The new mower will be delivered on Tues.
Tucker is picking up the permit for the rental building on Tues. We should have the exact delivery date Wed.
The curtain in the clubhouse is ironed.
Letters were sent out this week concerning the paving/curbing/driveways. If you were not at the forum and did not have the opportunity to view it on line, the letter served to inform owners that the paving project will follow the laterals, and if they would like rolled curbing in front of their driveways and they have not already been marked with an "X" in front of their driveways to let Mel know. Also, if you have an "X" and don't feel you need curbing let her know and they will adjust the list accordingly. They were also informed that Tucker will pave a 12' X 20' driveway for $175. adjusting the price for larger driveways. We would need to forward driveway requests to Tucker as well. There maybe changes as suggested by Bob Lapsley to contact the County as they have people that do storm water runoff studies. This suggestion will be sent to all of the Board for their input.
We also sent a reminder that storage lot fees are due on October 1. We have already gotten many responses to the letter. Thank you so much for your cooperation on both points.
We will perform the mold remediation of the books and puzzles from the library in the new building as soon as the they can be moved. We think it would be best...that would entail moving them one time only, making life easier on the maintenance department and any volunteers who may decide to offer their time.
Your latest reconciled financials as well as your Year End Audit are available in the office and on the CHUG website for your records. Thanks so much for your support as always. Mel
