Margaret and Gene Dillon will be at Savannah Court for another month. Margaret is doing extremely well. She looks like her old self again. Their daughter Beverly is here for a while to make sure Margaret is doing OK now. Visits and cards are always welcome. They are in Apartment #9.
I now have an address to send cards to Sammie Siegfried's daughter Nancy who suffered a massive stroke. It is Mrs. Lewis McLin, La Quinta Motel, Room 316, 4319 NW Yeon St., Portland, OR 97210. Nancy is doing better, has not rejected the new kidney, but still can't speak. She has a llarge clot in her leg which will stay for several months. A filter has been put in her lungs to prevent the clot from travelling there.
Phyllis Boucher is home from the hospital and doing very well. She wishes to thank everyone for the many cards she received. We're glad to hear the Boucher's are permanent residents now.
Ruth Allem fell in her home and was taken by ambulance to Winter Haven Hospital. She is in room 607 with a stress fracture on the left side of her pelvis. She will be in the hospital for quite a while and then she will go to a facility where she will have around the clock care. Her doctor told Homer that Ruth could not be alone at any time. Cards may be sent to the hospital or to the local address in the directory.
Please remember our Saddlebag friends with prayers, cards and phone calls.

Managers' ReportWe still have many people on a work order list to improve their storage lot sites with limerock and asphalt millings. Unfortunately, we are well over budget in the "grounds" line item and will be for some time. As soon as the budget allows we will get another load of both the limerock and millings and continue to move forward with the improvements.
The chlorine pump at the pool malfunctioned the week before last as you all know. The wearable parts were changed. We now have an idea of how long it takes that system to go through particular wearable parts and can have them on hand when they go. There was some questions by several owners about the affect the chlorine system being down for a 12 to 15 hour period of time has on the pool. The system distributes chlorine according to how it is calibrated, so a lengthy period of time such as 15 hours will greatly affect the amount of chlorine or lack of it in the pool. It does take time, once it is discovered that the system is malfunctioning, to adjust the chemicals by hand. Long story short, the County did a recheck of the chemicals on September 4th. The test was perfect. The County's inspection report is available at the office for anyone who would like it for their records.
Kriss Kaye from Envisors called requesting a couple of more pieces of paperwork for the County and SWFWMD. We sent one over on Friday…the other has to be researched at the County as it is not available through the website. We should have that done today.
The Arizona Cypress Dee and Jean donated has been relocated to 29 SBT as per the Board's request. Thanks again to Dee and Jean for their generous donation.
D & D Tree trimmed many oaks overhanging the roadways last week.
Maintenance fixed a sewer lateral at 41 Queen of Waters.
Maintenance also painted the overhang at the entrance to the clubhouse on the post office side.
We are readying the screen room for paint in the pool room area. Be aware of the “WET PAINT". Signs will be posted accordingly. Once we are done re-painting the walls, the floor will be repainted on Friday of this week. That will entail closing the screen room for the duration of the weekend, that is September 14-16, so the seal coat is allowed to cure for 3 days. Please abide by the closed signs and we will have it re-opened on Monday of next week.
Just a reminder, there is a teleconference Board meeting on Wednesday, September 12, at 9:00 a.m. at the clubhouse. We hope to see you all there.
That's about all I have. Any questions? Thanks, Mel
