Russ Surtees passed away suddenly on September 1st. Cards may be sent to Barb at Box 433, Maxville, Ontario, Canada KOC 1TO.
Fay Blaisdell also passed away September 1st. I don't have any address for the family.
Polly and Bob Verrier lost their daughter-in-law to cancer. She was 51 years old. Cards may be sent to Polly and Bob at the local address in the directory.
Imogene (Jean) Desrosiers had a knee replacement August 26th. She is doing well and up walking. Jean should be home by now. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Kay Smith had gall bladder surgery Saturday. Although gangrene had set in Kay is doing OK and not in any pain. Her doctor recommended rehab at either the Grove or the Dove. She may be released from the hospital today or tomorrow. Hold off on sending cards until we know where Kay will be. She needs to be able to care for herself in order to go back to Savannah Court Assisted Living. When she returns to Savannah, the phone number is 678-0732.
Mary DeBoer had biopsies done last Thursday on her ankles, gums, bowel and bone marrow. She still has four more blood tests and CT scan coming up. Pete is still having severe headaches. Cards may be sent to Mary and Pete at the northern address in the directory.
Jo Dowler thanks the many Saddlebaggers for the prayers and cards she received during her recent illness.

Garden Club: Meeting at the Memorial Gardens on September 23 at 8 AM per Marlene Kopp.
Virginia Lowell reminded everyone that yard waste can be put out with the garbage, there is no need to take it to the back of the resort. Trash Taxi will pick it up on the regular pickup days.
Also, Saddlebag is required to do a census and the forms will be sent out with the regular mailings for Lot maintenance.
Women's Club is sponsoring the new Pictorial Directory. Pictures will be taken the last week of October and the first week of November between the hours of 10AM and 4PM. We have helpers calling each district to remind you but you need to call Mary Lou Shimp, 696-4342 or Nancy Balch, 696-1219 for reservations. Sandra Stinespring also needs hostesses to help sign everyone in for their photos. Call Sandra at 863-521-5148 if you are willing to help.
Bob Lapsley told us all about the different property tax exemptions. There are nine(9) of them. To get any of these you have to fill out forms in either Winter Haven, Bartow, or Lakeland. More information can be found by looking up Florida Statue 196. Bob also has some free brochures for anyone who would like them.
