Don Twining passed away last Tuesday from cancer. Ohio. Cards may be sent to Margaret and the family in care of Mrs. Cynthia Zeiber, 364 Hampton Park, Westerville, OH 43081-5723 .The phone # is (614) 882-9563.
Jake Kopetski, a former winter resident of Saddlebag passed away September 1st of cancer. He was the original founder of the Saddlebag Camper Club. Cards may be sent to his wife Rose at R.R.#2 Grand Bend Ontario, NOM 1T0. Postage to Canada is now 69 cents.
Allie Franklin is still in Robert Packer Hospital, room 624B, Sayre, PA 18840. Cards may be sent there or to the local address in the directory. He will be in the hospital for quite some time.
Bill Teetsell was taken back to Lake Wales hospital Thursday. He has congestive heart failure and the symptoms flair up on occasion. He may come home early this week. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Marion Morrison slipped and fell off a bank while hiking near the Tobyhanna River at the Pocono Lake Preserve. She landed on a large rock and broke four ribs. It took four men, including their son Gil, and their niece to get Marion to the car that was about a half mile away. She was in great pain and taken to Geisinger Hospital Wilkes Barre. Cards can be sent to her in care of Pocono Lake Preserve, PA 18348.
We received a lovely thank you note from Barbara and Dave Anderson for cards received following the passing of their son Bradley.
We also received a thank you card from the family of John Ryan for the cards received following his passing.

The water level this morning is 100 feet 2 1/2 inches which is 1 1/4 inch, less than last week. We got very little rain last week. Everyone keep in mind that our water level should be about 102 feet above sea level, so it is imperative we keep getting some rain.
Campbell Soup labels are still being collected by Lorraine Kobierecki. She is at 5 Beaverkill.
Stop signs have been installed at the 2 intersections of Silversides and the Trail. Be aware that they are there and act accordingly.
We have a new Website, which is still under construction. If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to be included on the Website, please let me know. I will pass on the information. The new Saddlebag Lake Resort Directory is now available from Dot Lynch or Greta Dain. They are in the directory. Dot Lynch says she will even deliver to your house if there is a need. These are an orange color. Cost is still $1.00.

SLR Women's Club: An Old Fashioned Bridal Show will be held on February 1st of 2008. Don't forget to bring your gown or your mothers or your daughters or a friend's bridal outfit. You can wear it, someone else can wear it, or it can be hung on a hanger. That's an old Fashion Bridal Show in February 2008.
SLR Womens Club is Putting on the Glitz at their January 4th , 2008 Meeting. Ema Friesen, Chairwoman would like to remind all the ladies to look for jewelry, shoes, purses, and clothing to wear for this meeting. Any extra glitzy jewelry can be loaned to the decorations committee and would be returned.
Barry & Doreen Heaman want to remind everyone, that if you have a musical instrument, to bring it along with you when you come back. It will be very useful during Mardi gras at our Fun Day in 2008.
Grannies Attic is now open on Mondays from 9:30AM-3:30PM for donations of new and used items.
