Internet Connection: Bob stated that we need your help in complying with an FCC requirement that all home routers be adjusted to work on Wi-Fi channel One (1). Our new radio antennas are smart enough to refuse to connect to the towers when in the presence of too much radio interference from nearby routers. None of our towers operate on channel One in compliance with the new FCC standard which requires that all home routers be operated on channel one. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Staib or Bob Trombley and we will arrange to come to your home and adjust your router to channel One. This includes people who are operating routers connected to other services such as (Verizon Air cards or Satellite receivers). Recently purchased routers are OK because they have all been factory set to channel One since 2008, but older routers are still able to be set to any channel. Thanks for you cooperation in helping us assure the best Wi-Fi experience for everyone in Saddlebag.
Address Directories: The new ones are now available. They are a pink color. To get a copy, see Greta Dain.
Cert: There will be a meeting next Monday, right after Koffee Klatch per Ken Hall.
Manager Report: Hello Residents,
I hope you all spent your weekends celebrating your teams' wins either on the gridiron or the baseball diamond!! I did on both accounts!!
We had another exciting week here at Saddlebag. After doing a little investigating, I found out last Saturday night's power outage was due to a blown transformer in the neighborhood. In a related issue, Wednesday night late (Thursday morning early) we had a peculiar power surge which lasted about an hour and a half. The incident has been reported to Progress Energy and they will be sending an engineer out to install a voltage meter to monitor our system. Should it happen again, they will be able to track the problem to the source and diagnose the cause. In the mean time, keep an eye on your toasters...you may, possibly, see your toast go flying across the kitchen! LOL
There were two water leaks in the resort...one on Saddlebag Trail, the other on Queen of Waters.
Both leaks were repaired, the proper paper work was filed with the Health Department, and the "Boil Water" signs were displayed, as you may have noticed. The notice for Saddlebag Trail expired Friday morning as soon as we got word from Water Tech. The Queen of Waters notice remains in effect until further notice.
The gutters have been replaced on the rear of the clubhouse. The door replacement project is ongoing. They have several left to install in the storage building behind the clubhouse and the door leading in to the clubhouse from the rear.
We are awaiting a proposal from the Aquatic Weed Company for weed removal at the beach. I expect to hear something from them today or tomorrow. The maintenance department will be addressing the deteriorating styrophoam issue at the dock area.
Have a marvelous week...and, as always, you can contact me at the office should you have any questions or concerns. 696-2407.
