Loretta and Fritz Snyder ask for prayers for their 36 year old grandson Zachary Snyder. He tried to light his propane stove in his cabin and it exploded. Zachary has 2nd degree burns over 50% of his body. His arms, legs and hands are the worst. He is in an induced coma in one of the ten best burns centers in the country near Denver, Colorado. Cards may be sent to Zachary in care of Fritz and Loretta at the northern address in the directory.
Jack Southen had knee replacement surgery Saturday. He is in a lot of pain as the hospital where he had the surgery didn't have the pain block that is usually given the joint replacement surgery. Cards may be sent to Jack at Box 320, Ilderton, Ontario, Canada, NOM 2AO. Postage is 72 cents.
Ann Smolsky also had knee replacement surgery. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Dick Dain is doing well. He and Greta hope to return to Saddlebag early in October.
Barb Surtees thanks all their Saddlebag friends for the many sympathy cards, notes and phone calls following Russ's passing. She won't be down this year, but hopes to visit next year.

Garden Club: Meeting at the Memorial Gardens on September 23 at 7 AM per Marlene Kopp.
Women's Club is sponsoring the new Pictorial Directory. Pictures will be taken the last week of October and the first week of November between the hours of 10AM and 4PM. We have also set aside dates at the end of January, strictly for all our residents that don't come down until after the first of the year. We have helpers calling each district to remind you but you need to call Mary Lou Shimp, 696-4342or Nancy Balch, 696-1219 for reservations. Sandra Stinespring also needs hostesses to help sign everyone in for their photos. Call Sandra at 863-521-5148 if you are willing to help. Cost is $10.00 and includes the directory and an 8X10 photo. You have the option to purchase additional photos when you have the pictures taken.
Cap Program: Ongoing for 6 weeks. 143 volunteers have been approved. 28 people have been trained and certified. 16 men and 12 women. 50 patrols have been done for a total of 98.5 hours and a total of 195.5 hours of volunteer time, which includes meetings. Jim Hannon, Coordinator and assisted by Agnes Swatzell.
Most patrols are between the hours of 8AM to 4PM. Some patrols on weekends and evenings.
