Deaths: Marion Seile passed away at home Friday September 23, 2011. Cards may be sent to Bob Douskey at the local address in the directory an Marion's sister Margaret (Maggie) Kelley at the northern address in the directory.
Artha Klein, a long time renter at 1 Night Owl, passed away September 12, 2011. Cards may be sent to the family at 404 Sassafras Ct.., Bel Aire, MD 21015.
Illness: Margaret Dillon is home from the hospital and doing much better. She was in church Sunday with Gene and their daughter Beverly.
Betty Myles is also home from the hospital and feeling better. Cards may be sent to her at the local address in the directory.
Anna Miller is still at Grace Nursing Home (formerly the Dove) for therapy. She is progressing slowly. Cards may be sent to the Staib/Miller address in the directory or to the nursing home.
Frannie Balch was taken to Lake Wales Medical with chest pains. Tests showed that she did not have a heart attack but has congestion in her lungs and a partially collapsed lung. Doctors are monitoring the collapse. Frannie will be in the hospital for a few more days. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Polly Verrier has a fractured tibia. She opted for best rest as opposed to a cast. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Sally Knapton had successful cataract surgery this past week. She is doing very well at home. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Thank You: Mary Windisch is in awe of all the care, support and outpouring of comfort given to her in the passing of Fred on September 11, 2011.
Bob Douskey wishes to thank all who sent cards to Marion following her many admissions to the hospital.
Margaret Dillon also thanks the many folks who sent cards to her following her hospital stay.

Our water level this morning is 102 feet 1 inch. Last Week our water level was 101 feet 10.25 inches.
Hi-Speed Internet: All the connections have been made by Verizon for the Fiber-Optic cable. It still has to be tested by our supplier and given their Ok. We expect that to happen sometime this week.
Polk County Public Shelters: There is an informational packet and signup sheets for the Polk County public shelters at the office. If you need or want to use one of these shelters in the event of a storm, you need to fill out one of the applications, NOW and not just before a storm.
Post Office: Summer hours, 9:30 -- 10:30 AM
Flu Shots: According to Dick Dain, there will be no flu shots offered this year at the Clubhouse. These shots are available at a number of local commercial outlets and the County Health Dept.
Library: The library is closed until further notice. You can still get the DVD's from 51 Queen of Waters during the hours of 10AM and 12 PM.
Name Tag: Please wear it if you have one.
Grannies Attic: Open Mondays, Ginny Lowell and Cheryl Thompson are the contact persons.
Emergencies: Call 911. Also, call 863-604-4321. This number gets you to our security personnel. This is a cell phone number. The number is also prominently displayed on the front cover of the directory.

Also, if you want to go anywhere else…please let me know and we can set it up. I have the details on the Biloxi Trip and there are trips to St. Augustine, Savannah, Key West and Pigeon Forge! Managers' Report: Bill Rerucha has resigned, effective September 23, 2011. Pete Braden is acting President. Monty Haskin, of Stambaugh Management, gave the report this morning.
This is the last newsletter for the summer of 2011. The Saddlebag Express was passed out to owners at Koffee Klatch this morning. Have a great winter season. The newsletter will resume May 2012.
