Internet Connection: Bob stated that we need your help in complying with an FCC requirement that all home routers be adjusted to work on Wi-Fi channel One (1). Our new radio antennas are smart enough to refuse to connect to the towers when in the presence of too much radio interference from nearby routers. None of our towers operate on channel One in compliance with the new FCC standard which requires that all home routers be operated on channel one. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Staib or Bob Trombley and we will arrange to come to your home and adjust your router to channel One. This includes people who are operating routers connected to other services such as (Verizon Air cards or Satellite receivers). Recently purchased routers are OK because they have all been factory set to channel One since 2008, but older routers are still able to be set to any channel. Thanks for you cooperation in helping us assure the best Wi-Fi experience for everyone in Saddlebag. He also showed what happens to cable when bitten by rodents. It is not pretty.
Address Directories: The new ones are now available. They are a pink color. To get a copy, see Greta Dain.
Birthday Party: Open house in honor of Ruth Dawson's 90th Birthday on October 24th from 2 till 4 PM at Sally Hamilton's at 13 Saddlebag Trail North.
Manager Report: Hello Residents,
As summer comes to an end and the fall season is upon us, much has been accomplished around the resort. The management would like to thank you for your support and patience as we move toward completion on several projects.
The flush hydrants will be finished today. The aeration trays have been re-installed in the water system as well. This should alleviate the intermittent "stinky water" situation we have been experiencing since starting the project. If the problem persists, please call the office and let us know.
The storage locker doors, rear door on the clubhouse, and the exercise room are also complete. The knobs are the same on the storage lockers, so it won't be necessary to get new keys.
We are scheduled for our first visit this week with Aquatic Weed for removal of the weeds at the beach. Anyone having concerns about the fish in the lagoon need not worry. The compounds they use are "fish and wildlife friendly".
Your undying patience as we move forward with the pool project is greatly appreciated. We remain on schedule and hope to have it opened for your enjoyment very soon.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the office at 696-2407.
