Deaths: Lee Myer passed away September 1st of cancer. The last known address for Lee and Doris is 1802 Pine Cove, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Doris had a major heart attack on August 9th. Hopefully cards sent to the Wooster address will reach Doris.
Laverne (Vernie) Baumgartner passed away September 24th of heart failure. Cards may be sent to Fritz at the local address in the directory.
Illness:Mary Windish is progressing well with her physical therapy.. Cards may be sent to Mary in care of her daughter Carol Sullivan. The address is 398 E 2nd Ave., Chico, CA 95926.
I received an email from Carol Luke last Tuesday, Sept. 24th. She saw a neuro surgeon for the broken vertebrae in her neck and was told it takes 3 months to heal. She was to have an MRI., x-rays and a bone density test. This morning's email from Carol said that she will see her doctor October 15th. It will be decided at that time if the vertebrae is healing or if she will have surgery to insert pins. Cards may be mailed to her at 111 Western Trace, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Margaret Catanzaro had successful open heart surgery last Monday for a quadruple bypass at a hospital in Michigan. She is doing very well and may be home by now. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Arnie Martens had a heart valve replaced about two weeks ago. He was in ICU for 15 days. He is in a regular room now and hopes to go home in two weeks. They still hope to come to Saddlebag in January. Cards may be sent to him at the Canadian address in the directory. Postage to Canada is $1.10.
Doris Saffol has been ill for most of the summer and fall. She found out she is diabetic, has been suffering with sciatic nerve problems and also kidney problems. She will see her doctor October 9th. Cards may be sent to her at the northern address in the directory.
Ed Romanosky is doing exceptionally well. He walks every morning.

Announcements: Our lake level this week is 102 feet and 10 and 1/2 inch. Last Week our water level was 102 feet and 10 and ½ inches.
Directory: The new 2013-2014 directories are now available from Sue Beagle. They are yellow in color, and still $1.00 per copy.
Can Tabs: Joan Hannon is still collecting can tabs, which are then donated to Ronald McDonald House.
Potlucks: Fridays at 5PM. Bring a generous dish to pass and your table service.
Post Office: Summer hours, 10:00 -- 11:00 AM
Name Tag: Please wear it if you have one.
Grannies Attic: Open Mondays 9AM -- 4PM
Pinochile is still being played on Thursdays at 1PM. Looking for a few more players.
Once a month after Coffee, there will be an emergency committee meeting. Ken Hall presiding. Ken can be reached, maybe, at 863-255-7419.
Hazardous Waste: Gary Scheevers said if you have some HW and can't get to his house, he will come by and pick it up for you. He can be reached at 863-632-0865

There are also some overnight trips that need immediate attention! The first of the Florida Gambling Spree's is October 30-31st. (there is a second gambling spree on February 3rd-4th). Cost is $ 135 ppdo and includes: deluxe motor coach transportation, 3 casino visits, overnight accommodations at the Cambria Suites, 1 hot breakfast and driver's gratuity.
St. Augustine Christmas Lights tour: December 4th & 5th. There is a “wait list" for this trip. If you have signed up and have not mailed me your $50.00 pp deposit, please do so immediately to secure your spot. If you want to be on the “wait list", please do that now too. Since it is fairly early, there are bound to be cancellations, and the earlier your name is on the list, the better your chances of going. Cost: $189.00 ppdo.
There are a few seats left for the Mt. Dora Arts and Crafts Festival on October 26th. $29.00 pp includes transportation and driver's gratuity.
Medieval Times: November 1st. $58.00 pp includes transportation, lunch, and show, self-guided tour of adjacent village and driver's gratuity.
Fisherman's Village Shopping and Christmas Lights Boat Tour: December 18th. $45.00 PP
Rockettes: December 13th. $50.00 pp.
Gasparilla Parade: January 25th, $66.00pp.
Homosassa Springs State Park: January 29th, $55.00 pp.
Barbara Lee: February 19th, $65.00 pp. (Paddlewheel boat on Lake Harris and St. John's River)
For all you NASCAR fans out there: Daytona 125's: February 20th, $70.00 pp. AND the Daytona 500 on February 23rd! $96.00 pp.
