Paul Garrison's sister died a few weeks ago of complications of a stroke. Cards may be sent to Paul at the local address in the directory.
Sickness & Distress:
Madeline Conway had the staples removed from her heart surgery. Bill is in the hospital with congestive heart failure. Once Bill is stabilized they hope to return to Saddlebag in December or perhaps January. They are aware of the water restrictions here at Saddlebag.
Jack Southen will see his doctor October 24th to make sure his heart is strong enough to have surgery. If all is well Jack will have surgery for colon cancer on November 16th.
Don Kunke is in Lake Wales Hospital. He is in serious condition as his kidneys and liver are shutting down. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Grace Hermann will be moving November 9th to an Assisted Living home in New Jersey. Elinor Roeschen, Grace's sister, will give us an address as soon as it is available.
Ann Exler had catheterization in both legs. The procedure was entered through the groin. She is doing OK but weak. Bob has a lot of pain in the area of the hip that was replaced about three years ago. He will see his doctor this week. Cards may be sent to the Exlers at the Pennsylvania address in the directory.

Immediately after Koffee Klatch, we are having meetings in the clubhouse to keep everyone informed as to what is happening here in the resort,.
As of now, there will be no service trucks allowed into SLR unless it is an emergency.
The road is operational and manned by volunteers. The hours are 8AM -- 4PM. George Lowell, in charge of this. He is still in need of more volunteers. Contact him at 696-9593 if you would like to help.
The Lake Wales Fire Department is still getting a CPR class setup for anyone who would like to participate.
Joan Hannon asked if everyone here can please pickup their mail every day, and any outgoing mail must be hand delivered to Linda Addison inside the Post Office.
Our sewer situation is critical. NO dishwashing, NO clothes washing, use the porta-potties.
Anyone donating blood during October in conjunction with the Blood Banks of Florida and the Arabian Nights Dinner Theatre are eligible for 1 free admission plus $5.00 off for up to 6 guests to the Dinner Theatre. Contact Sue Boorom at 696-2774 for more information.
Wednesday, October 19th at 6PM there will be an Ice Cream Social at the clubhouse.
Ro Seiss is requesting everyone to bring a birthday card to next weeks Koffee Klatch. This is to honor Jean Hanna's mom who will be 100, Laura Callendar 90, and Hilda Meyer, also 90. This will be considered a card shower.
