Win Siegfried had a stroke in Massachusetts. He has his motor skills, but is unable to speak.

Ethel Stebbins fell and broke her hip in two places. She had surgery yesterday. Ethel expects to leave the hospital Wednesday or Thursday. Cards may be sent to her c/o Harvey Stebbins, 1961 Stannard Rd., Route 19 South, Wellsville, NY 14895.
Don Kahm was taken to Winter Haven hospital Saturday. He couldn't breathe; Don has emphasema. Additionally, he has been seeing double for about 3 weeks. Cards may be sent to Don at the local address in the directory.
Nancy Lambert is doing very well. Chic says she is almost back to her old self bossy, ornery etc. so he sent her up north. Cards sent to the local address in the directory will reach Nancy. (Actually, the doctor gave the OK for her to travel.)
Jack Southen had his surgery for colon cancer last Wednesday.. The surgery went well although he had to have a colostomy. The family had expected that. The doctors also drained a couple of cysts on his liver. Jack may go home tomorrow. He is now eating solid food. Cards may be sent to the Canadian address in the directory.
Bob Johnson's speech is coming back slowly. He had 4 way bypass surgery followed by a minor stroke. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Janet Buxton had microscopic knee surgery. She's not responding as quickly as she'd like. Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
We received a nice thank you note from Betty Kunke for the many cards and expressions of sympathy following Don's passing.

EMERGENCY: Sewer restrictions are now in place. Please conserve and use the little green houses.
Immediately after Koffee Klatch, we are having meetings in the clubhouse to keep everyone informed as to what is happening here in the resort.
Our sewer situation is critical.NO dishwashing, NO clothes washing.
The Post Office is now open from 10:30 to 11:30AM. Linda Addison will stay longer if the situation warrants it.
Dick Dain in cooperation with the County Health Dept has us set for Flu Shots on Dec 1 at 1PM to 2:30PM in the clubhouse. Also pneumonia shots will be available. Flu Shots will cost $25.00 per shot unless you qualify for Medicare, Part B. Call Greta at 696-1141 for an appointment.
Bob Lapsley says that Warner Southern College is having their Sounds of Season music series on December 2,3,4. Tickets can be obtained at the college. For more information call Bob at 696-1111.
11/24 at 1PM, Thanksgiving Dinner. The fall committee is serving Thanksgiving Dinner in the clubhouse. Cost is $6.00 per person. Get your tickets from Chub Bierlein.
December 2 at Noon the ladies of SLR are holding a salad and dessert luncheon in the clubhouse. All the ladies of SLR are cordially invited to attend. Please bring a salad or dessert, your plate and your silverware.

The Dixieland night scheduled for January 7thhas been cancelled. Barry & Betty Montgomery hope they can reschedule this.
Marlene Kopp says the Garden Club has photographic greeting cards available at a cost of $0.80 cents per card, which includes the envelope. Any money received will be used to defer some of the costs of restoring SLR areas to what they were before our flooding situation occurred.
If you are in residence, you need to call the office and make an appointment to get your Bar Codes installed for entrance to SLR.
New SLR Directories are now available from Greta Dain. Cost is $1.00 per copy.

December 15, 1:30PM, Kitchen Band will do a Sing-A-Long. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
Bev Clark announced that the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop in town is always looking for clothing and household items. Max & Tomi Blackburn will pick up items you wish to donate. Call them at 696-3693
