Orrin Pibbles is in Lake Wales Medical Ctr., room 335. He was admitted with extremely low blood count. Both his white blood count and the hemoglobin count were at severe low. He had three units of blood Sunday and was given an injection to increase his blood count. Orrin is on heavy antibiotics. Nelson Hood remains in ICU at Tampa General Hospital. He has lost the use of his whole left side but the doctors feel he may regain the use of his leg. Nelson also has pneumonia. He became agitated last night and pulled out the feeding tube. The brain bleed started up again. The doctors did a swallow test on Nelson which further agitated him. He will have a CT scan and an EEG today (Monday) to determine the status of the bleed. Despite the set back, Nelson's attitude is good. His daughters are with him and read the cards he has received to him. The girls said he knows everyone who sent the cards. The family asks for prayers, specifically that the blood clots in his leg will dissolve and the brain bleed will stop. Also that his mouth and throat will open up so he can swallow and also get some of the congestion up from his lungs Cards may be sent to Nelson at Tampa General Hospital ICU, 2 Columbia Drive, Tampa FL 33606 or at the local address in the directory.
