Doris Wierenga is still recuperating at home for congestion in her lungs. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Jim and Doreen Lenoxs daughter, Penny Ribey is doing well following emergency surgery for a tumor in her throat. The doctors assured the family that there is no cancer, however, she is still retaining fluid and there is a treat of pneumonia. She is being given treatments to alleviate the fluid buildup and also to help bring up phlegm. A card may be sent to Penny and Walter at Box 365, Blyth, Ontario, Canada, NOM 1HO.
Anna Miller, Bob Staibs companion, fell and cracked her pelvis. She was admitted to Lake Wales Hospital where she was to receive therapy, and also to continue it at home. Cards may be sent to Anna the local address in the directory under Staib.
Gerry Turner had a biopsy done on his breast tissue to determine the cause of swelling and tenderness. Cards may be sent to him at the local address in the directory.
Maryann King had a blood transfusion last Tuesday. She will see her doctor tomorrow, and each Tuesday thereafter, for additional treatment for immune deficiency. Cards may be sent to Maryann at the local address in the directory.
Pete Thompson continues to improve following quadruple bi-pass surgery January 12th. Cards may be sent to him at the local address in the directory.
Betty Southen had laproscopic surgery for a hernia last Wednesday, and it went well. . Betty and Jack sold their home here, but the new owner agreed to hold off the closing until April 1st so Jack and Betty could come down for the month of March. For the next few weeks cards may be sent to them at the Canadian address in the directory. (63 cents postage).
Winn Moravec is at the Dove Nursing Home. He has a lot of pain in his leg. They hope to have some type of medication to relieve the pain. Cards sent to the local address will get to him.
Doris Berles son Michael is at the Grove Nursing Home where he will recuperate and receive therapy following surgery on his foot as a result of diabetes.
