John and Mary Canankamp's son Brad passed away last Thursday, November 1stof cancer. He was just 51 years old. The family said that anyone who wishes to do so could make a donation to the Hospice Palliative Care of Wayne County. The address is 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691. Herbert “Bus" Scheffer, former Woodruff Way resident, passed away Wednesday, October 24th. As far as I know cards may be sent to the family at 422 Trimmer Rd., Califon, NJ 07830.
Lorraine Kobierecki received two pints of blood this past week. Immediately following the transfusions, she felt really good. However, she has had a set back and hasn't felt good for the last few days. Thanks to Helen Clark who takes Lorrain to all her appointments and breakfast at Jack and Mary's! Ed Angrist is home from the hospital and recuperating at home. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
Phyllis Boucher is out of ICU at Winter Haven Hospital and is now in room 257. Cards may be sent to her there or to the local address in the directory.
Bruce Redman had a good report from his doctors. They got all the cancer -- he doesn't need chemo or radiation. Bruce and Diane plan to come back to Saddlebag after Christmas.
Phillip Bell is in ICU at Winter Haven Hospital with a severe heart problem. His next door neighbor Phil Hancox recognized Phillip's symptoms and called for an ambulance to take him to the hospital. Phillip underwent surgery to have yet another stent put in., his 5th. Dr. Nunez credited Phil Hancox for his quick action and most likely saving Phillip Bell's life. Kudos to Phil Hancox. Anna Miller was admitted to Lake Wales Medical Center last Thursday. She is in room 346 and not doing as well as hoped. Cards may be sent to Bob Staib and Anna's address in the directory.
Some of you may know that Bill and Grace Gilfillian's daughter Tracy has been battling pancreatic cancer for the last three years. She will be 42 years old this month. Bill and Grace wish to thank everyone who has been so kind with emails, cards, phone calls and notes. They are very appreciative.
