SADDLEBAG SUNSHINE REPORT
December 14 2009
Gloria and Harold Park's son Daniel has been moved to another facility where he is receiving therapy. Gloria said Dan is doing “rather well". He is communicating fairly well with slight hesitations. The therapists think he should be able to come home on Wednesday. Dan mainly needs speech and language therapy. This will be his concentrated area for the next five days. The family doesn't know if they are ready for him to come home just yet. Dan needs to be watched very closely while at home. Gloria still has many questions. Cards may be sent to the Park's at the northern address in the directory.
Betty and Jack Southen cancelled their airline tickets to Orlando and will stay home until after Christmas. They will return to Saddlebag when Betty is well.
Emma Aumock is now in the Life Care Center in Winter Haven following a stroke. She is in room 103. Cards may be sent to her there or to the local address in the directory.
Chuck Redman had to go home due to an infection at the sight of his hip surgery. Cards may be sent to the Canadian address in the directory. (Postage is 75 cents)
Margaret Dillon was taken by ambulance to Lake Wales Hospital this past Tuesday with an apparent TIA. She is now at the Grove for occupational therapy. Gene is doing OK at this point. Their daughter Beverly is with them. Cards may be sent to the local address in the directory.
D'Nell Chafin had sh;oulder surgery this morning (Monday). Cards may be sent to the northern address in the directory.
Grace and Al Jensen, former Blue Quill residents are both ill. Grace is on hospice and has bone cancer. They are both in an assisted living facility. The address for cards is:

It was Eleanore Snyder's brother, not her son that was injured in and automobile accident.Larry is still in ICU with a brain injury, a punctured lung and other multiple unjuries. The good news is that he has been taken off the ventilator. Larry will be moved to a hospital closer to home that can provide the care needed for his type of injuries. His wife Gertrude is still in the hospital with broken ribs and pelvis. She is confined to a wheel chair at this time. Eleanore will be able to give us an address when her brother is moved to another facility. Cards may still be sent to both at Mercy Hospital, 1000 Mineral Pond Ave., Janesville, WI 53548.
Please remember our Saddlebag friends with prayers, cards and phone calls.
